Mumbai News: Veteran writer Salim Khan was reportedly threatened today during his morning walk in Bandra. The incident took place around 8:45 am when Salim, 88, took a brief rest on a bench near the Windermere building.

While he was seated, a woman wearing burqa and a man on a scooty approached him. They allegedly used the name of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, asking Salim, "Lawrence Bishnoi ko bulau?" In April, gunshots were fired outside Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartments in Bandra. Anmol Bishnoi, the gangster's brother, later claimed responsibility for that attack via a Facebook post. Following the shooting, Salman Khan was provided with heightened security measures, including Y-plus security from the Mumbai Police and protection from his trusted bodyguard Shera.

After the April incident, Salman Khan spoke to the Mumbai Crime Branch, reporting that he was awakened by the sound of a bullet hitting his balcony. His brother, Arbaaz Khan, also confirmed that he was aware of threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang aimed at Salman.
