A Salon Owner was allegedly assaulted by workers of Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) for reportedly mistreating a female employee in Kamothe, Navi Mumbai. The incident has stirred local outrage, especially after footage of the assault began circulating widely on social media.
According to a report by News18, the female employee had been working at the salon for several months but had not received her wages. After repeated attempts to get her dues failed, she turned to MNS members in the area seeking help.
Following her complaint, a group of MNS workers reportedly confronted the salon owner. A video, allegedly filmed by one of the assailants, shows several men slapping and punching the owner while he tries to defend himself and begs for leniency.

This incident follows a pattern of confrontations involving MNS members, many of which have been tied to claims of defending Marathi pride and culture. Just earlier this week, another case involving an MNS worker came to light. A video from a Thane railway station showed a party worker slapping a woman. The MNS later claimed that the woman had insulted her husband and used offensive language towards Marathi people during a dispute.
