Anantha Padmanabha Vratha 2025: The Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Vratham is a sacred day dedicated to the worship of Lord Vishnu in his Anantha Padmanabha form. Devotees celebrate it on Anantha Chaturdashi by performing the Anantha Padmanabha Vratha Pooja, praying to Lord Vishnu as he rests on the Anantha Sesha serpent. This holy fast happens on the Shukla Chaturdashi of the Bhadra month. It is believed that observing this sacred vratham can take away suffering, bringing peace and wealth. Anantha Padmanabha Vratha 2025: Significance
Lord Vishnu is shown resting on the divine serpent Anantha, which represents creation and Lord Sri Hari's role as the guardian of the universe. Anantha means eternity and Padmanabha refers to Vishnu's divine beginning. It is believed that observing the Anantha Padmanabha Vratham with devotion can help one get through hard times, bringing health, wealth and peace to life. Every year, the devotees undertake this sared vratham with elaborate rituals and sincere prayers, asking Lord Vishnu to protect them, give them peace, and give them the power to live a faithful and satisfying life.

Anantha Padmanabha Vratha 2025: Pooja Vidhanam
Before performing the Anantha Padmanabha Swamy puja, devotees make a cotton band that has 14 threads. They also create a serpent figure - Ananta out of durva grass. The Ananta Daram band is then put on the hand.
The Anantha Chaturdashi puja is performed with Shodashopachar offerings, which involve 16 different rituals. A photo of Padmanabha Swamy or a Kalasham is required to conduct the pooja ceremony. Devotees recite the Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Vratham Katha, which is an integral part of the puja.
