This year, Devotees will be able to seek the Charan Darshans of Banke Bihari Laal on 30th April 2025, Wednesday, on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya.

Banke Bihari Charan Darshan 2025: Significance Of This Special Occasion
The devotees believed that seeking the divine darshans of Lord Banke Bihari's lotus feet bestows great blessings and fulfils wishes. This holy practice, initiated by Swami Haridas 500 years ago is followed till date by temple priests. Swami Haridas introduced different services for Banke Bihari which are followed even today. A legend suggests that whenever Swami Haridas used to wake up, a gold coin would be found at Banke Bihari's feet, which Shri Haridas utilised to make arrangements for the worship and offerings of the deity.
The temple priests continue this tradition, limiting darshan of Banke Bihari's feet. However, on Akshaya Tritiya, Banke Bihari is adorned in royal clothes and devotees get to seek darshans of his feet. A special laddu of sandalwood paste weighing more than a kilogram is kept at his Charan. This tradition is believed to represent the gold coin that appeared earlier, and devotees get the opportunity to receive blessings.
After darshan in the morning, the sacred Vigrah (idol) of Lord Banke Bihari is anointed with sandalwood paste in the evening. This spectacle attracts millions of devotees from all over the world, who come seeking blessings and a darshan of their beloved Banke Bihari Laal.
