Pradosh Vrat May 2025: Shani Pradosh Vrat will be observed by devotees on 24th May 2025. Pradosh Vrat or Pradosham is a popular Hindu fast that is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. It is on the Trayodashi tithi (13th day) of Krishna Paksha and Shukla Paksha, therefore twice a month. The word ‘Pradosh’ means ‘early evening hour’ or ‘twilight’ itself during which this vrat is observed. In Hinduism, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati are believed to be extremely happy and give their choicest blessings on this auspicious day. Devotees perform pujas with great fervour and pray to Lord Shiva for spiritual growth, peace and to fulfil all their desires.
Some actions might upset Lord Shiva, so it's best for people to steer clear of these behaviours. Refraining from these acts shows respect and helps keep spiritual balance, making sure that your devotion feels genuine and is well-regarded by the deity.
Below is the list of 5 things disliked by Lord Shiva:
Pradosh Vrat May 2025: Doing THESE 5 Things Might Displease Lord Shiva
1. Lord Shiva is extremely apprehensive about misusing someone's riches or vice versa. He feels angry when he wants to receive money from others or is unable to pay his debts. To maintain the balance of spirituality and prosperity in one's life, it is crucial to honor others' property and financial obligations.
2. Lord Shiva is deeply offended by the disturbing effect that married life has on another person. Engaging in sexual favouritism or causing problems within relationships is considered a grave offence. Respectful behaviour towards marital relationships reflects Shiva's ideals of purity and righteousness, guaranteeing his favour and safety.

3. The act of plotting evil against people is not favoured by Lord Shiva. The pursuit of innocence and goodness is valued by him, so attempting to harm or ruin others' happiness is discouraged. One is kept in Shiva's grace by practising kindness and avoiding wickedness.
4. Those who choose an evil path or cause social unrest are punished by Lord Shiva. His values contradict antisocial behaviour, violence and causing nuisance. The ideals of Shiva, such as virtuous behaviour and making positive contributions to society, invite his blessing.
5. The lack of respect towards women is unacceptable to Lord Shiva, as no deity resides where there is no honour for women. Devotees of Shiva are expected to hold dignity and respect for women.
