To start the Masik Vinayaka Chaturthi puja, one should wake up early and finish their morning rituals, which include bathing and donning fresh, clean attire. The puja space must be completely cleaned and arranged with sincerity. An image or idol of Lord Ganesha is subsequently positioned in the puja area, serving as the focal point of devotion for the day.
The idol is beautifully adorned with fresh flowers and a garland and sandalwood paste is softly placed on Lord Ganesha's forehead. A Kalash (a ceramic or metallic vessel containing holy water) is also situated nearby, signifying the holy ceremony referred to as Purana Kumbha Kalash Sthapana. Prana Pratishtha is subsequently carried out by reciting Ganesha mantras, which are thought to summon the divine presence into the idol.

The Ganesh Stotra is chanted with profound devotion. The puja ends with an Aarti, infusing the area with spiritual energy.
