CWG 2022 Live, Lawn Bowl Women's Fours Final: India trail South Africa 1-2 

Matches are played on a Lawn Bowls Green within a 'rink' area – there are usually six rinks per green. The match begins with a coin toss, giving one competitor the option to roll a small ball called the 'jack' at least 23 metres down the green.

Competitors take it in turns to roll their bowls, aiming to ensure they are closer to the jack than any of those of their opponent. Points are awarded for each bowl that is closest to the jack.

In singles competition, the first to score 21 points will win, whereas in pairs, triples and fours competition, the team that has amassed the most points in total will secure the victory.

The Gold medal match between India and South Africa in Lawn Balls, Women's Fours is underway.

A sad end for weightlifter Punam Yadav in women's 76kg category as she failed to score a successful lift in her three Clean & Jerk attempts. 

Punam Yadav is second on the leaderboard after the snatch event. She lifted a total of 98kg.

Punam Yadav failed in her first attempt, but she made a strong comeback in her second chance, lifting 95kg.

Punam Yadav has the highest entry in snatch with 95kg and 116kg in clean and jerk, a total of 211kg. Meanwhile, Canada's Maya Laylor has the highest total weight of 215kg - 95kg in snatch, and 120kg in clean and jerk. 

The women's 76kg event of weightlifting is underway. Can Punam Yadav win another medal for India? She had won gold in 2018 Gold Coast CWG and bronze in 2014 Glasgow CWG.

India's Punam Yadav will be in action in the women's 76kg category. The event starts at 2 pm IST.

India lead New Zealand 6-2 in the triples team event.

India's weightlifters Punam Yadav, Usha Bannaur NK and Vikas Thakur will contest in 76kg, 87kg and 96kg categories today. Can they help India bag more gold medals at the tournament?

The Indian fours team - which included Lovely Choubey, Pinky, Nayanmoni Saikia, and Rupa Rani Tirkey - scripted history yesterday after it qualified for the final of the event. Today, the gold match will be held from 4.15 pm.

The men's team, defending champion, will contest in the final of the event today. The match will begin at 6 pm. Yesterday, the team had defeated Nigeria in the semi-finals. 

The Indian badminton mixed team - comprising PV Sindhu, Srikanth Kidambi, Lakshay Sen and Chirag Shetty, and Satwik Sairaj Rankireddy - yesterday secured a medal after it qualified for the final. Today, it will contest the gold medal match which will begin at 10 pm.
