Manchester City vs Juventus Club World Cup 2025: Manchester City's star footballer Erling Haaland scored his 300th goal for the club and helped them beat Juventus during the knockout match of Group G of the FIFA Club World Club on Thursday. The 24-year-old Haaland began the match as a substitute for Manchester City but then after halftime, he replaced Egypt's Omar Marmoush in the side.

The ex-Borussia Dortmund striker needed just seven minutes to score the first goal while playing in his third match of the ongoing tournament as he kicked the ball towards Juventus's net from close range.

Haaland's goal which helped City defeat Juve by 3-1 was his 123rd goal for the club in the Premier League and his record went to scoring 300 goals after playing in 370 matches for teams like Molde, RB Salzburg, Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City and Norway.

He achieved this milestone by playing in fewer matches as compared to legendary players like Cristiano Ronald (554 games), Lionel Messi (418 games), and Kylian Mbappe (409 games) according to ESPN.

"All I can say is congratulations. "He has scored 300 goals at 24 years old. I admire a lot the strikers. I am so happy for Erling, his goal, and being involved in short spaces. So, so good" Pep Guardiola told reporters during the post-match press conference.

With this win, Manchester City has become the table toppers of Group G by pipping Juventus and will lock horns with the runners-up of Group H during the Round of 16 clashes next week in Orlando.

Real Madrid is the table topper of Group H and had surpassed RB Salzburg before their last group stage match which was held late on Thursday.
