India will be aiming for more medals in athletics on Monday to add to the overall tally after a successful day at the office on Sunday at the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou, the People’s Republic of China.
Table tennis women’s doubles duo Sutirtha Mukherjee and Ayhika Mukherjee, who stunned world champion Chinese pair, will be in action in the semi-finals.
They have already confirmed a medal at the showpiece event and are just one win away from creating history.

India have never won a silver in table tennis at the Asian Games and the Mukherjees will back themselves to go all the way after the campaign they have had.
India will kick off their Kabaddi campaign on Monday with the women’s team facing Chinese Taipei in their first group game.
In Athletics, Amlan Borgohain will run in men’s 200m while the mixed 4x400m quartet will run for glory as well.
In Badminton, the individual events will also kick off. PV Sindhu and HS Prannoy, who have first-round byes, won’t be in action on Monday but Kidambi Srikanth and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy-Chirag Shetty will play.
The Indian men’s hockey team will also feature in its final group game against Bangladesh.
India will be in action in the medal events in equestrian eventing, canoeing, roller skating, kurash, and diving.
