Paris Olympics 2024 India Hockey Schedule:

It's time for the Indian contingent to make history in Paris following their spectacular success at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The prospect of winning more medals at the 33rd Summer Games increased by the fact that the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) would be sending the largest delegation of athletes from India to Paris.

High hopes from India hockey team

India men's hockey team will open their Summer Games campaign against New Zealand in Paris on July 27. The 'Blue Brigade', ranked fourth in the FIH rankings, are paired alongside the defending Olympic champions Belgium (world ranked No. 2), Australia (ranked No. 5), Argentina (ranked No. 7), New Zealand (ranked No. 10), and Ireland (ranked No. 12) in Pool B of the men's hockey competition in Paris 2024. Australia and Argentina both are former Olympic champions.

India hockey team earned its spot in Paris 2024 by winning the gold medal at the 2023 Asian Games. India will play against Tokyo 2020 silver medallists Australia on August 1 and reigning champions Belgium on August 2. All matches will be held at the Stade Yves-du-Manoir in Paris.

In the meanwhile, Pool A of the 12-team men's hockey competition at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris is made up of the top-ranked Netherlands, Germany, Great Britain, Spain, South Africa, and the host nation, France.
