Adobe Express App: Soon after beta testing, Adobe announced its new Adobe Express app for all users with features such as Firefly generative AI. The app allows users to design posts for social media, videos, flyers, logos and other media materials. The app brings the potential of Adobe's generative AI capabilities into an online editor to produce content on smartphones and the web.
The company shared diverse use cases for the app and its AI capabilities. These included creating promotional videos, designing logos and business cards, editing flyers and making videos to schedule them to Instagram or TikTok. Professionals can add their Illustrator and Photoshop assets to the app for producing content.
The app offers diverse templates which can be mixed with music, video clips, images, animation, captions (100+ languages supported) and more. "Video timeline, layer timing and support for 4K video features make it simple to create social-first videos from anywhere," Adobe said. With Text to Image, users can generate images using Firefly AI.

Moreover, Generative Fill allows users to remove, replace or insert objects or people using text prompts. With Text Effects, a creator can add stylings to make the text look attractive. Text to Template can allow creation of editable templates using text prompts and use Adobe assets such as fonts, music, photos and AI-generated images.
Besides these, Adobe Express offers Quick Actions such as removing background, generating QR codes, trimming videos, content scheduler (to plan, preview and schedule posts) and more. The new Adobe Express app is "available for free" worldwide in different languages on supported Android and iOS phones. Users can head to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store to download the app.
However, some of the features may be limited in the free version. For context, the company earlier released the beta version of the app in March 2024. "We're excited to see a record number of customers turning to Adobe Express to promote their ideas, passions and businesses through digital content and on TikTok, Instagram, X [formerly Twitter], Facebook and other social platforms," Adobe Express' Senior VP Govind Balakrishnan said.
