Adobe has officially unveiled their Premiere app for iOS, giving iPhone users access to professional-level video editing tools in an intuitive, mobile-first experience. After being listed for pre-order on September 4th, it is now free on the App Store; some advanced features require a premium subscription.
Adobe Premiere App Features on iOS
Adobe has designed its new video editing app to offer an experience similar to that found on desktop versions of Premiere Pro while remaining simple enough for mobile use. Key features of the new app include:
- Multi-track timeline editing
- Dynamic audio waveforms
- Trim, layer, and fine-tune frames
- Add video, audio, and text layers
- Support for 4K HDR video resolution
- Access to Adobe’s full stock asset library

The interface includes quick-start options such as:

- “New from files”
- “New blank project”
- “Extract audio”
AI-Powered Editing Tools
The app also integrates AI features, available through a paid subscription with generative AI credits. These include:
- Automatic caption generation
- Image generation
- Video creation from images
- Image expansion
These tools expand creative possibilities but are locked behind Adobe’s premium tier.
Cross-Device Editing
Users can start projects on their iPhone and continue editing on their desktop, thanks to Adobe’s cross-platform sync. Free-tier users get limited cloud storage, while paid subscribers can expand their storage for larger projects.
