JE Technology Desk: As Apple is gearing up to launch their latest iPhone 15 models and new Apple Watch series in India in September, reports of more launches, possibly in October, are cropping up. Tipster Mark Gurman, who holds a strong track record with Apple products, notes that after the launch of the iPhones, the company could announce new Macs with M3 chips.
He added that the M3 CPU could first debut in the upcoming iMac and 13-inch MacBook Air and MacBook Pro laptops. Later, the new chip may also come to other MacBook Pros and Apple desktops. He does not share hints of a 'Pro', 'Max' or 'Ultra' variant of the processor yet. Currently, Apple machines are powered by different variants of the M2 chip. The newly unveiled Mac machines (at WWDC 2023) also sported variants of this chipset.

Gurman also adds in his Bloomberg newsletter that iPad Pro models will get refreshed with this new chip next year. But a version of the iPad could also debut in October. But will pack comparatively muted upgrades. The 2024 'Pro' models are tipped to have an OLED screen. Gurman adds that an iPad Air with similar specifications is also in the works.
As for more updates, Apple, at WWDC 2023, launched the 15-inch MacBook Air and the powerful Mac Studio and Mac Pro (with Apple silicon) machines for powerful multitasking. The World's Thinnest 15-inch laptop debuted at a starting price of Rs 1,34,900 in India. Mac Studio starts from Rs 2,09,990, and Mac Pro starts from Rs 7,29,900.
Besides these, the tech giant also showcased iOS 17, iPadOS 17, macOS Sonoma, watchOS 10, and other upcoming software. These operating systems are currently live in public beta. In the same event, Apple also showcased its first mixed reality Vision Pro headset that will launch in the US next year at a premium price of $3,499. Gurman had earlier reported that Apple is already working on cheaper versions of these headsets.
