WWDC 2023: Apple showcased the 15-inch MacBook Air at the Worldwide Developers Conference today. John Ternus, SVP of Hardware Engineering at Apple, announcing the new machine, claims that it is the "world's best 15-inch laptop.

MacBook Air 15-inch Specifications

The new MacBook Air sports a 15.3-inch Liquid Retina screen which can go as bright as 500 nits and produce 1 billion colours. The laptop has a thickness of 11.5mm and weighs 3.3 pounds. For an immersive multimedia experience, the new bigger model gets six speakers with Spatial Audio.

Under the hood, it has an M2 chip with eight CPU cores and 10 GPU cores for performance that is 12 times faster than the Intel-based MacBook and has a fanless design. The machine offers up to 24GB RAM and 2TB storage. It runs on macOS Ventura.

Apple claims the new big screen offering comes with up to 18 hours of battery backup and MagSafe charging. Coming to connectivity, the model comes with Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, a 3.5mm audio jack, a Display port, Thunderbolt 3, USB 4 and USB 3.1 Gen 2. As for video chats, the laptop comes with a "1080p FaceTime HD" camera. It also comes with Touch ID. It has a Backlit Magic Keyboard.

MacBook Air 15-inch Price

The new MacBook Air comes at a starting price of Rs 1,34,900 (8GB + 256GB) that can scale up to Rs 2,54,900 for the 24GB + 2TB SSD model. It will be available "later this week." It comes in four colour options: Space Grey, Silver, Starlight and Midnight. These laptops can be a good option for users looking to buy a thin and light machine.
