WWDC 2023: Among a bunch of products the Cupertino-based tech giant announced today include Mac Studio and Mac Pro, which Apple claims are the "most powerful Macs" to date. The new Mac Studio comes in two configurations - M2 Max and M2 Ultra. On the other hand, Mac Pro now features M2 Ultra.

Mac Studio, Mac Pro Specifications

The M2 Max-powered Mac Studio has 12 CPU cores, 30 GPU cores (configurable to 38), and 16 Neural Engine cores. On the other hand, the M2 Ultra Model has 24 CPU cores, 60 GPU cores (configurable to 76) and 32 Neural Engine cores.

Memory configurations on the M2 Max can go up to 96GB RAM and 8TB storage. On M2 Ultra, the same can scale up to 192GB RAM and 8TB storage. The M2 Max can support up to five displays, and the M2 Ultra can support up to eight displays simultaneously.

On the other hand, the Mac Pro comes with an M2 Ultra chip having 24 CPU cores, 60 GPU cores (configurable to 76) and 32 Neural Engine cores. The memory can be configured up to 128GB from the base 64GB. Plus, SSD is configurable up to 8TB from the base 1TB. It can support simultaneous output for up to eight displays.

Both Macs run on macOS Ventura. For connectivity, the models come with Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, an audio jack, HDMI, Thunderbolt 4 ports, USB ports and 10Gb Ethernet. All machines come with built-in speaker.

Mac Studio, Mac Pro Price

The Mac Studio has a starting price tag of Rs 2,09,900 (M2 Max) and Rs 1,88,900 for education. Mac Pro (Tower Enclosure) starts at Rs 7,29,900 and Rs 6,87,900 for education. Further, Mac Pro (Rack Enclosure) starts from Rs 7,79,900 and Rs 7,27,900 for education.

While Apple is accepting orders for both devices from today onwards, they will be available in Apple Stores and to authorised partners from June 13.
