Apple, a Cupertino-based tech giant, is reportedly gearing up for a range of software and hardware-based changes across its product line. While the rumour mill has tipped the arrival of AI-based software features in iOS 18, a recent report has shed light on the expected hardware announcements. In his latest 'Power On' newsletter, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman stated that Apple has "extensive plans" for March 2024.

According to the Apple tipster, the company may introduce the much-awaited Apple iPads next to new MacBook Air models that may run on M3 processors. Gurman touts that the iPad Pro could pack the "biggest" tweaks followed by the iPad Air and MacBook laptops. The MacBook Air laptops may debut in two screen sizes: 13-inch and 15-inch.

According to MacRumors, the iPad Air could debut in two display options: a 12.9-inch and a 10.9-inch. It will likely run on an M2 CPU and sport a redesigned camera module on the back. The upcoming iPad Pro may arrive in two (11-inch and 13-inch) screen options with a high refresh rate OLED panel. This could offer a massive leap in display quality against LCDs.

Due to the OLED upgrade, the model may witness a price hike. An M3 chip, MagSafe wireless charging and a front camera in landscape orientation may sit on the model. Lastly, the MacBook Air models may debut with hardware-accelerated ray tracing and mesh shading for improved gaming. All devices may get Wi-Fi 6E.

Moreover, Gurman claims that Apple's upcoming electric vehicle has been delayed to about 2028 (compared to 2026 expectations). The company is reportedly moving back to Level 2+ self-driving apparatus (compared to the targeted Level 4). If the latest things do not work out, the team responsible for the unit may get "disbanded".
