Apple, a Cupertino-based tech giant, was expected to unveil new iPad models at an October event this year. However, fans were left empty-handed to tinker with the current iPad models. But this could change next year. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reported that the company could update its complete iPad catalogue in 2024.

In his Power On newsletter, Gurman claimed that the new products are still not ready to hit the markets. Plus, he added that the new 'low-end AirPods' are expected to arrive during a similar time frame. An overhauled 'Pro' unit will likely debut in 2025.

The journalist added that this could be the first time since the launch of the products in 2010 that a full year was left vacant when it comes to iPad launches. Apple has warned that the revenue from the iPad, Home and wearable accessories may decline this year, the report noted.

Moreover, the holiday season will be tough for the tech giant due to the vacuum created because of the non-existence of 2023 iPads, according to Gurman. Considering the current lineup, MacRumors speculate that Apple may introduce a new iPad Pro, iPad Air, iPad mini and iPad 11th gen in 2024. The upgrades to the iPad mini have been overdue since September 2021.

In an earlier edition of his newsletter, the Apple tipster said the company may introduce the entry-level and midrange models before March next year. The iPad Air and iPad mini 2024 models may have an M2 and A16 chip for performance. The high-end iPad Pros (11-inch and 13-inch), which may offer an OLED screen and M3 chip, could debut before the end of Q2 2024. These models could have support for the new overhauled Magic keyboard.

Meanwhile, while users were anticipating the release of new iPads last month, Apple announced the new iMac 24-inch and MacBook Pro laptops with different iterations of the M3 chips. You can read more about these products in this report.
