Apple Event 2023 October 31: Apple announced a flurry of computing products at its 'Scary Fast' event that was streamed live at 05:30 AM IST today. The product launches were on the expected lines as tipped by reports in the past. The much-awaited iMac 24-inch saw the light of the day after over 900 days. MacBook Pro laptops debuted in two screen sizes with different iterations of the M3 chip.

Apple also announced its M3 series PC hardware, which powers these new AIOs and laptops. Here is a detailed roundup of the tech products unveiled at the event.

Apple M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max

According to Apple, these in-house silicon chips are "industry-leading" 3nm CPUs for Mac. Performance cores on the M3 series are up to 30 per cent faster than the M1 family and 15 per cent faster than the M2. Efficiency cores on the series offer up to a 50 per cent boost in performance compared to the first-gen M chip and 30 per cent in comparison to the M2 series.

The GPU of these processors ships with Dynamic Caching technology that offers fresh rendering features such as "hardware-accelerated ray tracing and mesh shading". You can bundle in up to 128GB of memory on the M3 Max.

The new 24-inch iMac ships with a 4.5K Retina screen, M3 chip, macOS Sonoma, up to 24GB RAM, Wi-Fi 6E, FHD FaceTime camera, six speakers with Spatial Audio support, up to four USB Type-C ports, two Thunderbolt ports and more. You can pre-book the device from today, and it will be available for purchase from November 7. The AIO starts from Rs 1,34,900 on the Apple website.

Apple MacBook Pro 14-Inch and 16-Inch With M3 Series Chips

The new MacBook comes in 14 and 16-inch sizes and a 3nm M3 Pro and M3 Max processor. They offer a Liquid Retina XDR panel, macOS Sonoma, an FHD camera, six speakers and more. The 14-inch model also ships with an M3 chip. MacBook Pro 14-inch models start from Rs 1,69,900, and the 16-inch laptops have a starting price of Rs 2,49,900.
