Apple affordable MacBook Launch: As per recent reports, Apple is preparing to enter the budget laptop segment. This will be the non-premium segment of laptops. It is expected to be the brand new low-cost Macbook. The reports suggest that the Cupertino-based tech giant Apple might possibly reveal this Macbook as early as March, and it might be a dedicated product launch event. This could possibly be the most affordable option in Apple’s Macbook lineup, still retaining Apple’s signature design and build quality.
Apple Budget MacBook Launch in March
Mark Gurman, in his latest newsletter, Power On claims that Apple is planning a March event, where the low-cost MacBook could take centre stage. As per reports, the laptop will be priced below $1000, making it roughly around Rs. 90,700. This pricing will make it more accessible than the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models.
Apple is going to include the A18 Pro chipset in these laptops, as per reports, to keep the cost down. It is the same processor that was used in iPhone 16 Pro models. We can also expect the laptop to feature a slightly smaller display, making it just below 13 inches.
Switching from its traditional muted colour palette, Apple is said to be experimenting with the lighter and more playful shades, including light yellow, light green, blue, pink, classic silver, and dark grey. However, Gurman says that it is possible that not all colour options will make it to the final retail version.

The new MacBook is reportedly built with an aluminium chassis with the codename J700. It is expected to maintain Apple’s premium feel. Apple is said to be using a new manufacturing process that is both faster and more cost-efficient to reduce the overall production cost without giving up on durability.
If these reports turn out to be true, Apple’s new low-cost MacBook could be a steal for the students and first-time buyers and people seeking a reliable MacOS laptop at a lower price point. With modern hardware, fresh colours, and a sub-$1,000 price tag, the upcoming MacBook could mark a significant expansion of Apple’s laptop strategy.
