iPhone 15 Launched: Cupertino-based tech giant Apple announced the successor to the iPhone 14 at its highly-anticipated Wonderlust event. The new iPhone 15 comes with a new Dynamic Island, a 48MP primary camera and a USB-C port for charging. But considering the iPhone 14 has already witnessed price drops after launch and is available via lucrative deals, does the upgrades on the new phone justify its premium price?

Display

Both the iPhones get a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display. However, the iPhone 15 adds a Dynamic Island and up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness to the panel.

The iPhone 15 has an A16 Bionic chip for performance. On the other hand, the A15 chip powers its predecessor.

The iPhone 15 gets a 48MP primary and 12MP ultrawide lens compared to the 12MP primary and 12MP ultrawide on the iPhone 14. Plus, the new model also offers 2x optical zoom. Both phones sport a 12MP selfie lens.

iPhone 15 USB-C port

The new Apple device gets a USB-C charging port that supports USB 2 standards compared to the Lightning on the iPhone 14. As for the rest, the company promises up to 20 hours of battery backup on these models.

Lastly, the new model will run on iOS 17. The update will also roll out to the iPhone 14 soon.
