Rumour has it that Apple is planning to completely redesign their 2025 iPhone line up by swapping out the iPhone 17 Plus for an all-new iPhone 17 Air. Based on recent leaks and a sneak peek video posted on X (formerly Twitter), the iPhone 17 Air will likely be Apple’s thinnest-ever smartphone, focusing on looks rather than pro-level features.

iPhone 17 Air: First Look & Design

Ultraslim: A dummy unit’s leak showing an ultraslim profile boasts 5.5 mm of thickness—quite a bit skinnier than the iPhone 16 Pro.

Polished Black Colourway: Sleek and refined, the phone is shown to be a matte black colour, which gives it a timeless feel.

Changed Rear Camera Position: Showcases a single camera located on a full-width rear bar. It’s claimed to be a 48 MP sensor.

No SIM Card Slot: Maintains eSIM-only functionality to uphold the slim form factor.

Simplistic Design: Appears to have each functionality cut down to the bare minimum, like the single speaker, giving up stereo sound.

The iPhone 17 Air Leaked Video

Here is the leaked video of Apple iPhone 17 Air, uploaded by the leakster @MajinBuOfficial on the platform X, formerly Twitter.

What to Expect

iPhone 17 Air is sleek and portable, fitting into a user’s lifestyle. It likely caters to thin and elegant designs, over multi-cam features and additional battery space. Either way, the leaked model probably doesn’t showcase the complete story of the final retail unit, given that it was just a dummy unit.

As Apple’s September event approaches, further insights will likely come to light.
