iPhones are among the most-desired Apple products which fans wish to buy from the company's catalogue. The sale of the premium handsets has helped the company gross roughly $1.65 trillion in revenue in the past decade, according to AltIndex's data. For context, 2023 was a significant year for the iPhone when it dethroned Samsung to emerge as the most-used smartphone across the globe.
The company dispatched 235 million iPhones in the world, and 35 per cent of smartphone users had an iPhone in 2023. This has helped the company register massive growth in sales as revenue touched new heights. Ever since its introduction in 2007, the iPhone's share in revenue has been expanding due to its competitive user experience and acts as a mark of classy appeal.
The share of iPhone in Apple's revenue was about one-fourth in 2009, which expanded to 58 per cent in the first quarter of US fiscal year 2024. Speaking of sold devices, Apple moved from 153.4 million in 2013 to 235 million last year, a 53 per cent spike. AltIndex cited data from Apple and Statista to claim that the yearly sales revenue doubled in ten years.
