Apple announced the Vision Pro virtual reality (VR) headset on Friday in China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore. This is the first time the device has been officially available outside of the United States.
“Apple Vision Pro is now available in Apple Stores across China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore,” according to the tech giant.
“Vision Pro seamlessly integrates digital content with the physical world to create powerful spatial experiences that change the way people work, collaborate, connect, relive memories, and enjoy entertainment, among other things,” it added.
According to the company, Apple team members celebrated with the first consumers in these nations and areas to examine this ground-breaking device and take part in a guided demo experience that is exclusively offered at Apple Retail. On July 12, the Apple Vision Pro will also go on sale in Canada, Australia, the UK, Germany, and France.
VisionOS powers the Vision Pro. Apple announced visionOS 2, the first significant update to the Vision Pro's operating system, at WWDC earlier this month.
A revamped Photos app with SharePlay support, the ability to convert 2D images into spatial images, a larger, ultra-wide version of Mac Virtual Display that can be compared to two 4K monitors side by side, and other improvements and features are all included in VisionOS 2.
Regarding the India launch, the company has yet to confirm whether it will bring its expensive technology to the Indian market. According to reports, the tech giant is unlikely to introduce the Vision Pro in India. We'll have to wait for official confirmation from the brand.
