JE Technology Desk: Apple unveiled its super-premium Vision Pro headset at WWDC 2023, which will hit the markets in 2024 in the United States. After the launch, the company released the SDK for visionOS, that have stirred developers into action to tell the world more about the peculiar details of the software. The headset might have the functionality to transform a surface into a touch display in the AR world and sport Guest and Travel Modes.

Here are the top three things revealed about the Vision Pro lately.

Touch Controls Everywhere

According to Apple Insider, developers testing the AR/VR headset have learned that wearers can create displays and controls on any surface in their vicinity. Steve Troughton Smith revealed that it is technically possible to choose a surface in the field of view of Vision Pro and cast the app on the same.

Smith shared a demo of Apple Music's UI placed on a table and being controlled from there. Users may use the table as a keyboard, the report adds.

Vision Pro: Travel Mode

As the name suggests, the feature aims to enhance user experience during a flight journey, MacRumors reported. This mode ensures users have a pleasant experience during flight trips. The software is currently in beta.

The strings in the feature indicate that some features will be limited when the mode is active. Secondly, the digital avatar of the wearer might remain unavailable while this mode is in action. A prompt reads, "Remain stationary in Travel Mode," which implies to function at its best potential, the wearer may have to stay stable while using the feature.

Apple AR/VR Headset: Guest Mode

First reported by 9To5Mac, the Guest Mode will let other people use the MR device. The owner can configure a password to allow other users to access apps and settings. It will work independently of Optic ID, the company's authentication system for the spatial computer.

Considering the jaw-dropping price of the Vision Pro, this will make the headset more accessible.

Vision Pro Specifications and Price

The advanced headset has 4K displays, 12 cameras, five sensors, six microphones, M2 and R1 chips, and runs on custom visionOS. It will carry a starting price of $3,499 in the US once it releases early next year.
