Assassin's Creed Shadows, Two Point Museum, WWE 2K25 and more: This March it's going to be exciting and loaded with game releases, something we all gaming fans love, and some major titles are going to showcase themselves this time around. In 2025 we have already seen big games make an entry like Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and Monster Hunter Wilds, and these launches have set a higher standard for upcoming releases. Now with the beginning of March, all eyes are on the much anticipated Assassin's Creed Shadows, which will finally debut after it was delayed twice.
This game comes with a lot packed in it, this time the expansive RPG-style game will have dual protagonists each with their own unique storyline and quests, although the developers have said that choosing any one of them will not make you lose on the core content of the game, but both will feature unique quests and fighting styles. You can be both a Samurai and a Shinobi together. The game takes place in 16th Century Japan.
March is shaping up to be an exciting month for sports game fans. WWE 2K25 is set to launch on March 14, with Roman Reigns as the cover star in Visual Concepts' latest wrestling title. Just a few days later, on March 18, MLB The Show 25 will arrive on PS5, Xbox Series S/X, and Nintendo Switch.

Gamers can also look forward to Hazelight’s next big release, Split Fiction. The co-op game builds on the studio’s signature multiplayer experience, much like It Takes Two, which won Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2021. This time, players will navigate two contrasting worlds—one steeped in fantasy and the other in sci-fi—as they move through levels that shift between the two genres.
Let's dive in and take a look at the most notable releases across different genres in March.
Two Point Museum
Releasing on March 4, for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series S/X, the game developed by Two Point Studios, complies with 2018' Two Point Hospital and 2022's Two Point Campus, in which the player was tasked with meticulous workings of a hospital and university campus, now this universe will take place in a museum. So get ready and put on your manager coat and tie and handle tasks like designing the museum, exhibiting the museum, day-to-day tasks and more. This time Two Point will bring more gameplay enhancements.
In Two Point Museum, players take on the role of a museum manager, handling everything from organizing guided tours and hiring experts to running the gift shop and curating special exhibits. As the collection grows and the museum expands, its ratings will rise, drawing in more visitors. But to keep guests engaged and satisfied, you'll need to create a truly memorable museum experience.
Split Fiction
Split Fiction, launching on March 6 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X. Hazelight’s follow-up to It Takes Two continues the studio’s signature co-op gameplay, following two writers, Mio and Zoe, who find themselves trapped inside the worlds of their own stories. To escape, they must navigate a mix of sci-fi and fantasy landscapes, overcoming challenges through a blend of platforming, combat, and exploration. Like its predecessor, the game supports both local and online co-op, with a Friend’s Pass allowing two players to experience the adventure with just one copy. Levels shift between Zoe’s fantasy realm and Mio’s sci-fi setting, each with unique environments, side content, and new mechanics.
Rise Of Ronin
Rise of the Ronin arrives on March 11, expanding beyond its PS5 debut in 2024 to release on PC. Set in feudal Japan during the Bakumatsu period, the game casts players as a wandering ronin caught in the turbulence of war and shifting political ideologies. The open-world action RPG features deep character customization, offering a choice of weapons such as katanas, spears, and odachi, each with distinct combat styles. Players can choose their allegiances, deciding whether to protect or eliminate key figures in Japan’s changing political landscape, shaping their journey in this richly detailed historical setting.
MLB The Show 25
Baseball fans can look forward to MLB The Show 25, launching on March 18 for PS5, Xbox Series S/X, and Nintendo Switch. Developed by San Diego Studio, this year’s iteration brings significant graphical improvements, with better lighting, sharper textures, and enhanced player animations. Gameplay upgrades include more responsive fielding mechanics, new diving and tagging animations, and the introduction of GOAT Difficulty for expert players. Longtime favorite Road to the Show now features The Amateur Years, where players start their career in high school, while Franchise Mode adds deeper contract negotiations, improved trade logic, and realistic prospect rankings. Diamond Dynasty ditches the Sets and Seasons format, allowing players to keep their best cards all year, while a new mode, Diamond Quest, introduces challenge-based rewards. This year’s game also expands its roster of legendary players, including Roger Clemens, James "Cool Papa" Bell, and Manny Ramirez.
WWE 2K25
On March 14, WWE 2K25 lands on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X, just in time for the Road to WrestleMania 41. This year’s entry into the long-running wrestling franchise brings new gameplay refinements and an expansive set of 27 game modes, including MyRise, Showcase Mode featuring The Bloodline, and MyGM. The addition of Superstar Mode allows players to take control of a single wrestler’s career, while The Island, a new social hub akin to NBA 2K’s The City, offers a space for online interactions, PvP and PvE matches, and in-game transactions. Visual upgrades ensure realistic character models and animations, while an expanded customization system gives players more options to create and tweak their wrestlers.
Assassin's Creed Shadows
Later in the month, Assassin’s Creed Shadows finally makes its long-awaited debut on March 20 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X, following multiple delays. Set in feudal Japan, the game features two distinct protagonists: Yasuke, an African samurai, and Naoe, a shinobi assassin. Yasuke’s gameplay leans into brute-force combat, while Naoe embodies the classic stealth-focused approach, allowing players to choose how they engage with the world. The open-world setting boasts castles, villages, and temples, with a dynamic weather system that shifts over time. Stealth makes a return as a core mechanic, and choices made throughout the game will influence the narrative, shaping the journey in an era of political turmoil and shifting allegiances.
Atomfall
Rounding out the month, Atomfall launches on March 27 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X, offering a unique survival experience set in 1960s post-war Britain. Players find themselves in a Northern English village devastated by a nuclear disaster, with no memory of the incident. As they scavenge for resources, craft weapons, and explore the world, they must uncover the mysteries surrounding the catastrophe while navigating interactions with other survivors. The game blends survival horror with RPG elements, where choices impact the world and the protagonist’s fate. Whether to go it alone or form uneasy alliances will determine how players endure this eerie, unpredictable landscape.
Killing Floor 3
On March 25, Killing Floor 3 arrives on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X, bringing intense co-op survival horror to the table. Set in 2091, players must battle against terrifying Zeds, now more formidable than ever. Joining forces with the Nightfall rebel group, up to six players can fight to secure humanity’s future. The game draws inspiration from horror classics like The Thing, Aliens, and Predator, with gruesome enemy designs and relentless combat. A wide range of weapons, each customizable with various mods, allows for diverse playstyles as players face waves of grotesque creatures in a desperate fight for survival.
March is shaping up to be a packed month for gamers across genres, offering everything from historical open-world action and co-op adventures to sports simulations and survival horror. With such a diverse lineup, there’s something for everyone to look forward to.
