JE Technology Desk: Taiwanese tech giant Asus unveiled ROG Ally, the company's gaming handheld running Windows 11 Home, last month in select markets across the world. In the latest update about the device, the brand has revealed the gaming device will be available via a flash sale on the e-commerce platform Flipkart.

Taking to Twitter, Asus ROG IN shared this information. "Get ready for gaming that never stops," the company said in a tweet along with the picture of the console and "#ComingSoon" text. The update comes as a piece of good news for Indian gamers looking to buy a powerful gaming handheld. Further, here is a specifications and price overview of the console that debuted in the US.

ASUS ROG Ally Specifications

Asus ROG Ally has a 7-inch FHD IPS 120Hz screen with a peak brightness of up to 500 nits. The screen sports Gorilla Glass Victus with DXC Coating and supports 10-point multi-touch. Speaking of audio, it comes with AI noise cancellation, Dolby Atmos and two speakers.

The console has two CPU configurations: AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme and AMD Ryzen Z1 with RDNA 3 graphics. Speaking of RAM and storage, the device has 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD. It has a 40WHrs 4-cell battery that supports 65W charging. Asus claims the device can survive two hours of gaming and close to eight hours of video viewing.

It also bundles three months XBox gamepass and is compatible with Steam, Epic and more. For connectivity, it sports Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, a 3.5mm audio jack, ROG XG Mobile Interface and USB Type-C combo port and a microSD reader. As for security, it sports an in-built fingerprint reader.

ASUS ROG Ally Expected Price

According to a report by Gizmochina, the ROG Ally with AMD Ryzen Z1 CPU could be priced at Rs 71,999. Further, the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme variant may have a price tag of Rs 79,999. In the US, these models cost $599 and $699.

Further, the report adds that ROG Ally will be "among the first current-gen handheld gaming consoles" to launch in India. While you can buy the Valve Steam deck and Nintendo Switch in the country, these are not official Indian units. A buyer has to import them at premium prices while missing out on the warranty.
