Battlefield 6: Electronic Arts has officially announced that Battlefield 6 will launch worldwide on October 10, with platforms including PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The reveal came during a livestreamed event on July 31, where the company showed off the game’s much-anticipated multiplayer and campaign content, plus new gameplay systems and map settings from across the globe.
Two open beta weekends are also lined up this month, giving fans a chance to jump in early.
Open Beta Schedule
EA is kicking things off with an open beta that stretches across two weekends in August. Here's the full breakdown:
- Early Access Beta: August 7–8
- Open Beta Weekend One: August 9–10
- Open Beta Weekend Two: August 14–17
What’s New in Battlefield 6
EA is bringing back some fan favorites while introducing new systems designed to enhance how players move, fight, and revive each other on the battlefield.
Return of the Class System: After skipping it in Battlefield 2042, the traditional four-class setup is back—Assault, Recon, Support, and Engineer—each with unique gear and roles.
Enhanced Destruction: The environment is now more destructible than ever, allowing for tactical gameplay and chaos in combat.
New Combat Mechanics:
- Kinesthetic Combat System: Upgrades movement and gunplay for smoother, more responsive action.
- Drag and Revive: Drag a downed teammate to safety before reviving—ideal for heated zones.
- Weapon Mounting: Mount guns to surfaces to reduce recoil and gain better control in firefights.
Multiplayer Modes and Map Locations
Battlefield 6 will feature a mix of returning and new modes spread across international locations.
Map Settings: Players will battle it out in Egypt, Gibraltar, and New York.
Classic Modes Return:
- Conquest
- Breakthrough
- Rush
- Team Deathmatch
- Squad Deathmatch
- Domination
- King of the Hill
New Mode – Escalation: Teams fight to capture and hold strategic points in a fast-paced tug-of-war style format.
Editions and Pricing
Battlefield 6 will come in two editions: Standard and Phantom.
Standard Edition:
- $69.99 / ₹3,999 on PC
- ₹4,999 on PlayStation and Xbox
Phantom Edition:
- $99.99 / ₹5,999 on PC
