Japenese tech giant Sony has announced an XR device that can be mounted on the wearer's head like the new Apple Vision Pro. The display offers a 4K OLED microdisplay per eye with a see-through function and dual controllers to interact with 3D objects and pinpoint operations. According to the brand, it aims to support creators with 3D content creation using the headset. According to the company's release, the device runs on the Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2.

It has a motion capture system - "mocopi" for motion tracking and Spatial Reality Displays for "highly realistic" content creation. The screens get 96 per cent DCI-P3 colour coverage. Its on-chip AI lets users space track XR experiences and merge physical and digital spaces for intuitive interactions. The ring controller allows users to work on objects using the controllers and the keyboard when the device is positioned on the head.
