Sony PlayStation VR2 Headset: Soon after reports of a possible release of Sony PlayStation VR2 by the Japanese giant in India, the headset has finally debuted in the country. The release comes about a year after the firm introduced the model in the global markets. For starters, the VR2 gets OLED panels with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.

The device can deliver an immersive experience to the wearer via virtual reality gaming. These VR2 games can be downloaded from the PlayStation Store. Among the eligible games highlighted on the website are Horizon Call of the Mountain, Gran Turismo 7, Resident Evil Village, Beat Saber and more. Here are the price and specifications of the headset to give you a better idea.

Sony PlayStation VR2 Specifications

The screen uses OLED technology and offers a resolution of 2000 x 2040 per eye and up to 120Hz refresh rate. The lens separation is adjustable. It offers a 110-degree field of view. As for the sensors, the device has three-axis gyroscope, three-axis accelerometer and IR proximity sensors. It has four cameras for headset and controller tracking and an IR camera for eye tracking.

Speaking of extras, the headset offers a vibration-based feedback mechanism, and an in-built mic. As for the ports, it has a USB-C port to connect with PS5 and a headphone jack for audio output. The VR2 Sense controller offers trigger effects, haptic feedback, finger touch detection, motion sensors, IR LED for position tracking, Bluetooth 5.1 and a USB-C port.

The right controller gets "PS button, Options button, Action buttons (Circle / Cross), R1 button, R2 button, Right Stick / R3 button". On the flip side, the left controller offers "PS button, Create button, Action buttons (Triangle / Square), L1 button, L2 button, Left Stick / L3 button".

Sony PlayStation VR2 Price In India

Sony PS VR2 is available at a starting price of Rs 57,999. The Horizon Call of the Mountain bundle is priced at Rs 61,999. It will be available on Flipkart, Amazon, Croma, Reliance Digital, Vijay Sales, Shop At SC and other shopping destinations.
