OPENAI gave the world ChatGPT, the world-famous language model, and it is finally coming to iOS via an app for iPhone users. Since the launch of ChatGPT, it has grown to become the blue-eyed AI model of the internet because of the conversation and capabilities to answer queries in a human-like manner.
The app can sync history seamlessly across devices. It also comes embedded with Whisper, OpenAI's open-source speech-recognition system facilitating voice access within the app. Speaking of premium, ChatGPT Plus users will get exclusive benefits to the latest GPT-4, early features rollouts and swift query responses.
"The ChatGPT app syncs your conversations, supports voice input, and brings our latest model improvements to your fingertips," OpenAI said in the announcement.
ChatGPT app capabilities
The research company claims a user can access precise information without witnessing ads or a list of results. With the app, the AI model can recommend recipes, compile travel plans, and craft "thoughtful" responses to user queries. It can generate gift ideas, frame poems and more.
On the productivity front, the app can help summarise notes and offers technical assistance to a wide range of topics. A user can explore "languages, modern history and more" depending on their choice.
ChatGPT for iPhone availability
The rollout is live in the United States and will envelope more countries in future. Meanwhile, Android users should not get back with a heavy heart as the company has also clarified that an app for Android users is on the way. It will debut soon.
ChatGPT app for iOS comes as a surprise today as no major hints regarding its development were live in the past. As for other updates, the chat model has already crossed 100 million users, according to reports, and a debut on the fingertips would further amplify the reach.
Meanwhile, speaking of more updates in the tech world around AI, Google recently axed the waitlist for Bard, its experimental AI model to onboard more users.
