GOOGLE, the tech giant that is constantly working on new services and updates that add new features to existing services, has begun rolling out a revamped version of Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides on the web with an improved user interface.
The tech giant stated in a Workspace Updates blogpost on Monday that the updated user interface, which follows the release of Google Material Design 3, is purposefully designed to streamline core collaboration journeys across our products.
The new revamped version of the services would be available for all the individual accounts, business accounts and other users as well. The company aims to help the users by getting their work done at a faster pace.
Additionally, the update has already started rolling out and would be reportedly visible in up to 15 days. As far as Scheduled Release domains are concerned, full rollout (1–3 days for feature visibility) are starting on March 22.
Google Drive Changes:
Users will notice improvements in Drive such as the "ability to select multiple items at a time and undertake batch operations for frequent tasks" and "Key actions surfaced inline on files, for quick access and increased productivity."
Google Docs, Sheets And Slides Changes:
In Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, on the other hand, there is a simplified UI at the top of users' docs, sheets, and slides, allowing them to find frequently used actions faster. "These key visual and interactive design changes will help you get your best work done faster by emphasising the most frequently used tools within our products," the company said.
