Google Gemini AI won't create any pictures of people as a result of the present controversy over mistakes in AI-generated historical images. This comes after the business said that it is trying to resolve recent issues with Gemini's image-generating capability.

The business stated, "We're going to pause the image generation of people while we do this and will re-release an improved version soon." Images produced by Gemini AI that portrayed some white icons (such as the US Founding Fathers) and German troops during the Nazi era as "people of colour" sparked outrage. The business had already acknowledged that it knew Gemini was providing inaccurate historical picture-generating portrayals.

"A diverse range of persons are produced using Gemini's AI picture production. Additionally, the fact that it is used by people worldwide is usually a positive thing. However, here is where it falls short," the business acknowledged. Earlier this month, Google began to provide picture production using its Gemini (previously Bard) AI platform.

Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Alphabet and Google, previously disclosed the next phase of the company's AI development, saying that Bard will now go by the name Gemini. It may be found on the web in forty languages right now, and it will soon be accessible through the Google app for iOS and the new Gemini app for Android.
