Google Take Notes for Me feature which was announced recently at the Google IO 2024 is now rolling out for the Google Meet users. The new feature will help the users capture the important pointers of the meetings and compile them in the form of Google Docs. Here’s everything you need to know about the new feature.

Take Notes For Me: What Is It?

The new feature is a tool within Google Meet which will take notes on your behalf so that you can concentrate on the discussions, presentations or any other thing. These notes will then be saved in your Docs and will be attached to the Calendar so that everyone who was part of the meeting can get access to notes easily.

Take Notes For Me: How It Works

The feature will capture the pointers and summaries of the meeting using AI. Someone who joins the meeting late can get the summary of what has happened till now. Soon after the meeting ends, the meeting organiser will get the notes through mail. If the meetings are recorded or transcribed, the feature will link them in the mail. The feature can be useful for large or complex meetings.

Take Notes For Me Setup:

Administrators: Take notes for me can be set at the OU and Group levels and will be enabled by default. To find out more about enabling Google Meet AI to take notes for my users, visit the Help Centre.

Users: You can use this page in our Help Centre to learn more about "take notes for me" in Google Meet once your admin has enabled it. To enable meeting recordings to start automatically, go to our Help Centre. You can also enable this function beforehand from the Calendar invite.
