GOOGLE Pixel 7a has launched in India and is available on Flipkart. The tech giant, in a live conference that commenced on May 10 announced the latest 'a' series phone. This fresh addition is brewing confusion among Indian consumers who wish to buy a Google handset and have a budget of around Rs 50,000. They are perplexed about shelling a few extra bucks to grab the big brother Pixel 7 or stick to the new arrival.

Google Pixel 7a vs Pixel 7: Specifications

The Pixel 7a has a 6.1-inch OLED FHD+ 90 Hz display protected by Gorilla Glass 3. On the flip side, the Pixel 7 packs a 6.3-inch OLED FHD+ 90Hz screen that has Gorilla Glass Victus protection on both sides.

Under the hood, both phones run on Google's in-house Tensor G2 chip. The older sibling comes in two variants - 128GB and 256GB compared to 7a's single 128GB. The Pixel 7a runs on Android 14 (source: Flipkart) compared to Pixel 7's Android 13.

To supply power to the internals, a 4,300mAh battery is there on the 7a that supports 18W wired and 7.5W wireless top-up. Pixel 7's 4,270mAh battery supports 20W wired and 20W wireless charging. Plus, the Pixel 7 supports Battery Share.

Coming to the highly reputed optics of both mobiles, the Pixel 7a houses a 64MP OIS primary lens compared to the 50MP OIS lens on the Pixel 7. As for ultra-wide, the Pixel 7a has a 13MP lens compared to the 12MP lens on the 7. On the front, a 13MP shooter sits inside the punch hole on the Pixel 7a compared to the 10.8MP lens on the Pixel 7.

Both phones come with an in-display scanner and face unlock for security.
