Google has been working on improving search by incorporating AI into its search engine, and the new version includes a number of new features for the AI-powered Search Generative Experience (SGE), including the summary creator. With this new function, the California-based IT giant will summarise the content you are reading on the web, eliminating the need to scroll down and read long-format articles. However, the users will not be getting the new feature right away.
The feature has already begun to roll out as an early trial in its Search Labs program and will be accessible in the Google app for Android and iOS. It will also be added to the Chrome browser on the desktop in the coming weeks.

Those who have access to the Google app on their phones will be able to get the key points from the article soon after they tap an icon placed at the bottom of the screen. Do note that the feature will only be helpful for the articles that are freely available on the web and is specifically designed for them. Google has announced that it will not work on the websites that are paywalled by the publishers.
Google says you'll be able to hover over specific terms to get definitions or diagrams on a topic. The business is also implementing other sets of changes to SGE and may soon deliver SGE results for a search query about areas like physics, economics, and history. The summaries of the coding information provided by SGE are now simpler to grasp thanks to Google.
For those unaware, the tech giant introduced the SGE at Google I/O in May and has been making considerable progress CEO Sundar Pichai has said that the user feedback has been positive so far and over time it will be changing how the search works.
