JE Technology Desk: Google, which made numerous announcements and announced the debut of new AI-powered goods and services at the annual Google I/O 2023 conference, now appears to be rolling it out. According to a new update, the business will soon provide early access to the artificial intelligence (AI) notebook 'Project Tailwind'. Last month, the company previewed 'Project Tailwind' as an "AI-first notebook."
What Is Project Tailwind?
Tailwind is a PaLM application programming interface (API) sample that can assist "anyone synthesising information from many different sources" that they choose. Users can choose files from Google Drive to train their own AI model using Tailwind. The information is then suggested based on those files. Additionally, it receives a specialised customised interface to aid users in browsing the numerous notes and documents they upload or generate.
Since the beginning of the previous month, users have been able to join the Project Tailwind waitlist through Google Labs.
"Keep a look out for updates, including a new name," the business said in the most recent update on the home page, adding that it will "open up early access to our waitlisted users soon." The users from the US had the option of enrolling for early access.
At Google IO 2023, the business identified a range of use cases for the same, particularly for students. The waitlist was now available for US users, but only in the waitlist, and there has been no official update on the availability in other countries.
The AI chatbot "Bard" had earlier this week received additional updates from the tech giant, including enhanced logic and reasoning abilities. Bard currently uses a novel method dubbed "implicit code execution" to recognise computational prompts and execute code in the background. It is now able to respond to text manipulation, coding queries, and mathematical calculations.
