GOOGLE has announced it is expanding its Workspace Individual plan in 20 new countries with the aim to onboard more small business owners. The Google Workspace account shared the update on Twitter.

While Workspace Individual, an account continues to run on @gmail.com address, it bundles 1TB of storage and added features in Gmail, Calendar, Meet and more. In the United States, the plan is priced at $9.99/month.

"We are excited to provide #GoogleWorkspace to more small business owners. Today, we are launching the Google Workspace Individual plan in 20 new countries," Google Workspace said.

This Workspace service initially launched in five countries in 2021 before it encompassed Asia and Europe one year later under its ambit, as per 9To5Google. The latest list of expansions scales the total tally to 52 countries.

Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Ecuador, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong SAR China, Hungary, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Portugal, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Türkiye, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States and Vietnam.

- Over 60 minutes of video calls, YouTube streaming of live meetings, noise cancellation, break out rooms, hand raising and polls

Gmail

- Customizable layout for newsletters and brand announcements, multi-send, personalisation tools

Google Calendar

- A user can create appointment slots for services, share them via web and mobile, embed a booking page in the brand's website and more options.

A user can register for the 14-day trial window on the personal account and select from the pay-per-month or annual models.

Meanwhile, speaking of updates on Workspace, Google announced Duet AI for Workspace to boost the productivity of consumers via the use of AI. It will roll out to consumers later this year.
