Google, which is all set to introduce its Android 14 in the coming months, has now started rolling out a slew of updates to most of its mobiles and services, which includes the revamped At a Glance Google Assistant widget, Lookout visual accessibility app, and Zoom calls in Android Auto. The new addition also includes the branding changes as well.
The Glance widget on the home screen of the Android phone will now be showing new information which includes the flight status, baggage claim, and weather replacing the Animated GIF at Google’s At a Glance widget. With this, the California-based tech giant also plans to offer a refreshed design with more information on offers. It means that users can completely depend on their phone as it will provide information about events, travel, and local weather.

Not only that, the Google Wallet is also getting new updates, and it will now be easier to upload the passes with the barcodes, and QR codes just by importing the photo. Further, the Lookout application, which offers on-screen imagery descriptions for users with low vision or blindness, will be able to describe the scene more intelligently. Android Auto is also getting Zoom, and Webex calls support.
Not only that, but Google will revamp the typeface like Google's own logo, and the word 'Android' will now be spelt with a capital A.
Taking to the blog post, Google brand manager Jason Fournier announced the changes saying that the logo change will be creating more balance between the two. Further, he mentioned that the robot now has a 3D appearance that too with colourful variations depending on the occasion.
Meanwhile, Google is all set to introduce its next-generation Pixel phones in the world on October 4. The launch event may include the Pixel 8 series and a detailed announcement of the Android 14 release. Till now, most of the smartphone companies have rolled out the beta.
