GTA 6: We have already heard the news of GTA 6 getting delayed, that too by a year. This delay had sent shockwaves across the gaming community and its die-hard fans who had been waiting for over a decade to get their hands on what Rockstar had conjured this time.
Nevertheless, the scene was settling down, and people had gotten used to the fact that it's going to be delayed, and to calm the seas further, Rockstar had also released a second trailer and a few screenshots from the game itself, giving us a glimpse into it, but rumours have been spiralling up since Rockstar has been quite silent since its previous delay announcement, and we might get to see what you can call a nightmare if you are a GTA fan: another major delay for GTA 6.
This uncertainty is building up even more as rumours have been claimed to come from a supposed insider.

Another delay for GTA 6? That’s the word from X user ‘millieamand,’ who recently stirred the pot with claims that Rockstar’s next big title might not launch until September 2026. The leaker, who doesn’t have a particularly solid track record, attributed this potential delay to “internal talks” at Rockstar. That said, they also noted that May 2026 is still the “planned” release date for now.
GTA 6 Update:
— Millie A (@millieamand) July 29, 2025
• Planned release: May 2026, but internal talks suggest a possible slip to Sep
• MSRP
– Standard: £69.99
– Deluxe: £89.99 (early GTA Online access)
– Premium: £109.99 (first GTA Online access)
• PS5 marketing
• Console bundles + PS5/Pro sales promos post-launch
Aside from the possible shift in schedule, the post also touched on the game’s pricing. According to the same leaker, the Standard Edition of GTA 6 will reportedly be priced at $69.99/£69.99. They went on to mention two more versions: a Deluxe Edition at $89.99/£89.99 and a Premium Edition at $109.99/£109.99. The higher-tier editions will apparently come with a significant bonus—early access to GTA Online before the full multiplayer launch.
There was also a nod to another recent leak, which claimed that PlayStation has secured a marketing deal with Rockstar. This collaboration could lead to special PS5 bundles timed with GTA 6’s release, along with performance upgrades for the upcoming PS5 Pro. Given Rockstar’s long-standing relationship with PlayStation, this part of the rumour sounds plausible.

Whether or not these details turn out to be true is anyone’s guess. While the game has already seen a six-month delay, fans are still holding out hope that May 2026 remains the target. For now, though, everything here is unconfirmed—so take it all with a grain of salt until Rockstar makes things official.
