This is a really good as well as bad year for gamers, and that is because one of the biggest and most popular gaming titles is expected to make its debut by the end of 2026. That's the good, but what's bad is that wherever you look on the internet for anything related to GTA 6, it's just rumours and leaks everywhere that do not tell us much. Apart from the two trailers and some in-game images, fans are searching the deepest corners of the internet just to get their hands on something new about Rockstar's upcoming release.
It's always been hard to find out about the whats and whens of Rockstar's releases, but things took a different turn this time.
Rockstar recently ended up in a controversy, where its employees claimed that they were fired for trying to unionise. Rockstar, however, states that it is not the case. Rockstar has given the explanation that the people who were fired were allegedly engaged in leaking GTA 6 info online through separate channels outside the purview of the company in which a rival studio as well as journalists were involved.
With all that said, what's humourous is the fact that in order to defend itself, Rockstar kind of confirmed some of the biggest GTA 6 leaks that fans have been on about for a long time now.
Leaks That Might Turn Into Reality
Reports now suggest that several features fans have been speculating about for years are actually real. One of the standout changes is the dual-protagonist system. Instead of simply swapping between characters like in GTA 5, players may be able to control Jason and Lucia together in certain missions. It’s said to work more like a companion-based setup, opening the door to far more creative and unpredictable mission design.

Vice City is also shaping up to be far bigger than expected. This isn’t just a modern reimagining for nostalgia’s sake. Leaks point to it becoming the largest city Rockstar has ever built, complete with surrounding regions and varied landscapes, much like how Red Dead Redemption 2 expanded beyond a single map. The kind of world where side activities completely derail your main objective for hours.
The wanted system is reportedly getting a serious overhaul as well. A sixth wanted star could make a return, bringing military-grade response units, riot gear, smarter roadblocks, and even K-9 squads into the mix. What starts as a small crime could quickly spiral into a high-stakes survival chase.
The game world itself is also expected to feel far more interactive. Rumours suggest more than 700 interiors may be enterable, ranging from shops to buildings you can freely walk into. Compared to GTA 5’s roughly 100 accessible interiors, this would be a massive leap and a huge win for players who love exploring every corner of the map just for the chaos of it.
Apart from that, for some fans who like to get into a bit of the spicy stuff, there are leaks suggesting both male and female strippers; there is a diversity this time which is supposedly to balance things out, as the number of female gamers is also increasing, and there is a huge number of women who play GTA now.
GTA 6 is rumored to feature a dynamic body mechanic that allows characters to lose/gain weight and build muscle based on different activities, including gyms, wrestling and consuming food. pic.twitter.com/vjOT9AaaPA

Apart from that, for those who loved to hit the gym in San Andreas, the new mechanics this time are expected to provide an experience unlike any other. A dynamic experience that hits home. You will be able to bulk and slim down or get into any dynamic shape you want as per your gameplay style.

So yes, Rockstar isn't stoked that these details had to come out like this, especially while trying to clean up a mess it got caught up in. Nonetheless, fans are happy, and it'll keep them going. It's like a light at the end of the Rockstar Games tunnel, and it finally feels like things are getting clearer.
