GTA 6 Map Leaks And Rumours : Confirmed Locations So Far

The first GTA 6 trailer confirms that it is set in Vice City, Leonida. It also revealed that Vice City will include the returning Malibu Club and Ocean Drive. Reports suggest that the map for GTA 6 will be 70% larger than that of GTA 5.

GTA 6 Map Locations

As mentioned above, GTA 6 will have a 70% larger map than GTA 5. GTA 6 is set in Leonida state, and Vice City will be a small part of this massive state. While the complete details of the Leonida state haven't been verified, we catch a glimpse of the Leonida state police in the initial GTA 6 trailer. Naturally, we get a complete view of the Vice City map, which looks like Miami. So there are high chances that Leonida State will be based on the state of Florida. 

Vice City in GTA 6 is characterised by vibrant neon lights, nightclubs, and beaches. The trailer showcases the highly populated beaches, suggesting the crowd density in the game that exceeds the previous Grand Theft Auto games. 

A potential central hub is Vice City’s main strip, and it is depicted as a chaotic mix of traffic, pedestrians, lights and music. Other than Vice City, the rural areas of the game resemble Florida’s neighbouring states, such as Georgia. 

GTA 6 Map Size – Rumoured

As per the leaks, the size of the GTA 6 map will be at least twice the size of the GTA 5 map. The GTA 5 map was around 75.84 square KMs, whereas, as per the analysis of the leaks, the GTA 6 map size comes to be around 125 square KMs. The game world includes a Tram system, an Airport, and diverse markets and shops that you can enter, such as nightclubs, supermarkets, gun stores, etc. 

There are wild animals, including alligators, bobcats, etc., with other environmental details. The scoop from the leaks reveals that the main character hangs out at their pad and also checks out a hotel called the Kington Hotel, which throws some epic pool parties with live music.

A user namely Dark Space, attempted and recreated the GTA 6 maps, compiling the leaks and rumours and uploaded the video on YouTube along with some download links. However, recently Take-Two put a strike for that and Dark Space had to take down everything. He also stated that the map might have been “Too Accurate” that it could have ruined the surprise. 

According to reports, By using mathematical calculations on Dark Space’s GTA 5 Mod to estimate the GTA 6 map, it will be approximately 70% larger than that of GTA 5. However, even though these estimations seem pretty good, the complete GTA 6 map officially remains a mystery for all.

The majority of locations that are revealed in the Trailer and leaks are based on Vice City. However, in trailer 1 we get to see multiple stores, posters and billboards that confirm some other locations as well. Will Rockstar add more Cities to GTA 6?

There's no official confirmation, but rumours suggest that Rockstar Games might release new cities with each seasonal update, similar to GTA Online. This idea is popular among fans, who have already created custom maps combining locations like Liberty City, Los Santos, and Vice City.
