Grand Theft Auto 6 has been officially delayed to next year, following developer Rockstar Games's surprise announcement last Friday that its release would be postponed until 2019. Jason appears to start his journey toward a better life by collecting Lucia from prison, though some ambiguity remains about whether their criminal activities occurred before or after her imprisonment, suggesting an immediate return to crime, something familiar within Grand Theft Auto's universe. Jason then cruises vibrant streets before engaging in small store robberies and working out on sun-kissed beaches - classic GTA elements all.

Shortly after Jason is introduced in the trailer, Lucia makes her formal introduction as Jason arrives at the penitentiary to greet her upon her release.

Rockstar Games recently announced that Grand Theft Auto 6 will release on 26 May 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles, originally planned to debut this fall (2025).
