HP has refreshed its premium laptop lineup in India with the launch of the new HP OmniBook Ultra 14 (2026), alongside the HP OmniBook X (2026) and HP OmniBook 5 (2026). With this year’s update, HP is pushing harder into the AI PC space, focusing not just on raw performance but also on battery life, portability, and smarter on-device processing.

The biggest spotlight naturally falls on the OmniBook Ultra 14, which arrives as HP’s flagship offering for users who want a premium thin-and-light machine without compromising on power. Interestingly, HP is giving buyers two different routes this time. Users can either go with Intel’s latest Core Ultra chips or choose Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X series processors, depending on whether they prioritise traditional performance or battery efficiency and AI-focused workloads.
The laptop features a 14-inch 3K OLED touchscreen with a dynamic 30Hz to 120Hz refresh rate, and HP says it can hit up to 500 nits brightness. Combined with slim bezels and a 91 percent screen-to-body ratio, the machine clearly leans into a modern ultrabook design language.
HP is also heavily highlighting AI capabilities across the lineup. The company claims the new OmniBook series can deliver up to 80 TOPS of AI performance, while the OmniBook Ultra itself offers up to 50 TOPS through its dedicated NPU. In simpler terms, HP is preparing these laptops for AI-powered workflows that are becoming more common across Windows 11 and Microsoft Copilot features.
Beyond performance, HP seems equally focused on everyday usability. The OmniBook Ultra includes a vapour chamber cooling setup with dual fans, a new latticeless keyboard design with a dedicated Copilot key, and HP’s Waterfall haptic touchpad. There is also a 5-megapixel IR webcam for video calls and support for the latest Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 standards.
Battery life is another major talking point. HP claims the OmniBook Ultra can last up to 22.75 hours on a single charge, while 65W fast charging can take the battery to 50 percent in roughly 45 minutes.
Meanwhile, the OmniBook 5 is positioned as a slightly more accessible option in the lineup. It still gets an OLED display, Intel Core Ultra processors, AI capabilities, Wi-Fi 7 support, and fast charging, but in a thinner and lighter package aimed at everyday productivity users. HP says this model can deliver up to 21.5 hours of battery life.
As for pricing, the Snapdragon-powered OmniBook Ultra 14 starts at Rs. 1,89,999 in India, while the Intel variant starts at Rs. 2,14,999. The OmniBook X begins at Rs. 1,69,999, whereas the OmniBook 5 starts at Rs. 1,24,999.
