Instagram, a popular photo-sharing platform was yet again down for users in different countries. Thousands of users in different countries have reported that they were facing issues in opening the platform and seeing the feed and stories.

According to the outage reporting website Downdetector, over 52,000 users reported outages in the United States, while the reports in India were nearly 2,000 during the peak. The report suggests that the outage started at around 8.25 AM and peaked at around 8.47 AM.

Almost 84 per cent of the reports suggest that the users were facing issues while accessing the application, 10 per cent reported that they were not able to access the website, and 6 per cent were not able to see the feed.

Instagram Down For The Third Time In A Month:

It seems that something is wrong with Instagram's server as it is the third outage in the month. The first outage took place on July 11 and has affected all the Meta-owned platforms including Facebook, and WhatsApp. After that, the photo-sharing platform witnessed an outage on July 20 which has affected global users. Now, it is the third time, where the global users have been impacted by the outage.

Instagram Down: Official Statement

Meta-owned Instagram has not shared any official statement about the outage at the time of writing the article. Previously, Instagram announced that the outage was due to a connectivity issue and has impacted many users.

Meanwhile, Meta’s new social media platform Threads is losing its charm, as the reports suggest that it has lost almost 75 per cent of the traffic within 15 days of its global debut. However, the company is introducing a slew of new features to retain the audience and has added the following tabs and other utility features which are already available on Twitter.
