Instagram, which has made its significant reputation in constantly adding a slew of new features is in plans to add a slew of new features. This came after Instagram head Adam Mosseri, taking to his broadcasting channel, shared a video which gave some key highlights about the upcoming feature.
The most notable feature is that users can utilise a quick or looping video in Notes to alter their profile image. "People will soon be able to update their default profile photo in Notes with a short, looping video," Mosseri said. “You can still use words to offer a thought in addition to the video. Please let us know your thoughts if you begin to notice films in your notes," he added.
In line with this, a camera icon will be included in the profile photo. This will enable users to record videos straight from the icon and share them on Notes, further customising their accounts.
Along with profile videos, Instagram also looks into new methods to enable users and enhance the finding of businesses and content creators. In order to achieve this, the platform is exploring a feature that charges users more control over their content, a concept that was inspired by Elon Musk's X microblogging platform.
A feed featuring only posts from verified, paying users is also introduced with this new feature. Mosseri explained that the idea is being investigated as a way to provide consumers more control over their feed and aid in increasing the visibility of companies and creators.

When users hit the Instagram logo at the top of the app, they will be able to access the "Meta Verified" toggle as an option under "Following" and "Favourites". This is a further step towards improving the functionality of the platform and enabling user customisation.
