Sideloading apps

In the podcast, Mark adds sideloading will likely be a Europe-exclusive feature due to Apple's compliance with Digital Markets Act. The company has a history of not allowing sideloading apps since time immemorial. On the other hand, Android devices have had this feature for a long time.

With the coming of this feature, users would be able to install apps from third-party stores or download the installation package from the internet.

Control Center enhancements

According to @analyst941, Control Center could witness changes in the UI and customisations this year. Dynamic Island would become further useful. And this may reap some benefits for the Control Center. Beyond these, more Always-On settings, extra Focus Mode filters, Health app UI modifications and more are tipped by the analyst.

Messages and Wallet app

A new wallet app could be announced with iOS 17, as per The Indian Express report. Further, the Messages app may have a homepage layout in the next update, the news report adds.

Meanwhile, Apple is reportedly working on stability over features this time. A user must note that Apple has not revealed anything officially about the upcoming OS. However, some of these changes might be exclusive to newer iPhones.

Speaking of supported devices, @analyst941 tips that all models that support iOS 16 would get the update. The tipster claims all "A11 Bionic" powered handsets like iPhone 8 and iPhone X would receive the update.
