Apple confirmed the date of its September 'Wonderlust' event, where the company will likely launch the upcoming iPhone 15 series and Watch series products. While there was news that the availability of the top-end model - iPhone 15 Pro Max, could get delayed this time, Apple Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims the hurdle has been curbed to an extent.
According to the TF International Securities analyst, the main production hurdles were the stacked CIS, panels and batteries and the new titanium frame. While the case of stacked CIS has been resolved via a boost in production capacity, a small percentage of units (10-15 per cent) of the regular models (likely the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus) are still affected.
A change in the "supplier shipment ratio" resolved the issue concerning the panel. The new titanium frame (that may replace the stainless steel) and battery issues have been curbed by improving the production output. As per Kuo, owing to the production challenges around the "high processing difficulty" and the scraped idea of solid-state buttons, the new models will likely have the same physical buttons as their predecessors.
Kuo further added that the change in the materials of the frame could add to the reduction in the weight of the upcoming models.
iPhone 15 Pro Max To Debut On Time?
As per Kuo, the project of the Pro Max was the last to begin. Hence, the mass production may be delayed compared to other iterations of the 15 series.
Further, the analyst added that the iPhone 15 Pro models could come in four shades: white, gray, blue and black. Moving to the vanilla and Plus model, it may arrive in five colour options: pink, blue, yellow, green and black.
