Apple is expected to unveil a range of devices at its rumoured September 10 event. These include the iPhone 16 series, New AirPods and Apple Watches. While the event will remain a hardware-focused affair (unlike the WWDC 2024), Bloomberg's Mark Gurman tipped that Apple may make Apple Intelligence upgrades a key part of the iPhone 16's sales pitch.

According to Gurman's X (formerly called Twitter) post, the company has also started training its retail employees for the features ahead of a release this fall. Plus, the company has scheduled a meeting for employees of the retail stores for the evening of September 12 or the morning of September 13, Gurman added. This will likely fall a week before the release of the iPhone 16 series after launch.

"Apple is also planning to make Apple Intelligence a key part of the iPhone sales pitch in stores this fall and has started training retail employees on the features," @markgurman said. "Apple has scheduled an unusual and mandatory meeting for employees at all Apple retail stores for the evening of September 12 or morning of September 13."

He noted that these meetings follow an unusual schedule as Apple generally schedules meetings for Sundays and not between weekdays. This meeting will follow about a week before the release of the device. Apple Intelligence is expected to be a part of the sales pitch at Apple Stores while marketing the iPhone 16 series.

On a related note, Apple Intelligence may start rolling out for eligible iPhone users with the release of the iOS 18.1 update in October. iOS 18 may begin rolling out after the launch of the iPhone 16 series. However, you must take the details with a pinch of salt as Apple has not confirmed any of these affairs at the time of writing.
