iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max: We are just a month away from what is expected to be one of the biggest tech showdowns of this year. If the Cupertino-based tech giant follows its conventional launch cycle, then somewhere in mid-September we could see the latest products that Apple has to showcase this year.

iPhone 17 Series

In the smartphones department, according to a post on X (Twitter) by @theapplehub, the expected product lineup is as follows: iPhone 17, 17 Air, 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max. Here the Air version will supposedly take the place of the previously sold Plus variant. Without delving much into all the devices from the lineup below, here are the expected specs for Apple's flagship iPhone 17 Pro Max.

 

This is expected to be Apple's boldest flagship yet; under the hood, it is anticipated that the device will feature an A19 Pro chip, built on TSMC's 3nm process. The RAM department could see an upgrade as well with 12 GB RAM, probably to handle AI workloads with ease, something that has been central to many tech giants and their products this year.

Battery-wise, this device could feature Apple's biggest battery yet with a 5,000 mAh capacity, and finally, a 120 Hz ProMotion display is also expected with bezels rimmed down even more.

Apple is expected to stick with its familiar triple 48MP rear camera setup on the iPhone 17 Pro Max, but some meaningful upgrades may be on the way. Rumours suggest the telephoto lens could get a serious boost — possibly with the introduction of a tetraprism system for sharper zoom shots.

On the video front, 8K recording might finally make its debut, giving content creators a whole new level of quality. Even selfies could see a major upgrade, with Apple reportedly working on a 24MP front-facing sensor.

Other leaks have also suggested new colourways that might be introduced for each device in the line-up, with orange and dark blue making the headlines for the Pro and Pro Max variants.

If leaks are accurate, Apple will likely launch the iPhone 17 series on September 9, 2025, according to a report from iPhone-Ticker.de. In India, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is expected to carry a starting price of around ₹164,900, keeping it firmly positioned as a top-tier flagship.

Other Products Expected From Apple

The same post also showcases other products that might join the limelight during the event expected next month.

Apart from the iPhone 17 series lineup, other products expected from the tech giant are the Apple Watch Series 11, Apple Watch Ultra 3, and Apple Watch SE 3 in the smartwatch department. AirPods Pro 3 and HomePod Mini 2 for audiophiles. Other than that, AirTag 2 and Apple TV 4K (4th Gen) are also expected to drop.
