iPhone SE 4 Leaks: Cupertino-based tech giant Apple could unveil the iPhone 16 series in September 2024. While we are months away from launch, a new rumour claims to have leaked the design details of the anticipated iPhone SE 4, which may launch in 2025. According to Chinese tipster Fixed Focus Digital, the manufacturing process of the rear chassis of the upcoming SE is reportedly similar to the iPhone 16.
Citing the Weibo tipster, MacRumors reported the backplate manufacturing for the smartphone is the "same" as the rumoured iPhone 16, which could adopt a vertical camera array this year. Considering the leaks, the iPhone SE 4 will likely arrive in spring. This rumour contests the previous claim of the SE model using a modified iPhone 14 chassis.

Last year, MacRumors reported the dimensions of the iPhone 14 could match the size of the iPhone SE 4. If the current rumour turns correct, the cameras could get a vertical alignment. The SE 4 could have a 48MP primary lens with a custom backplate. For context, the vertical alignment is reportedly a change to let the non-Pro models shoot Spatial Videos for the Vision Pro.
iPhone SE 4 Price Range, Specifications (Expectations)
Meanwhile, with all the anticipated updates, the company will likely aim for a sub-$500 price for the iPhone SE. It could get a Face ID as an upgrade over the Touch ID. It could gain a 6.1-inch screen with a notch compared to the 4.7-inch display of the current model. Plus, the device may offer an Action Button and a USB Type-C port for charging.
According to reports, the device may run on an A16 Bionic chipset and house a 3,279mAh battery. Meanwhile, readers should note that Apple has not confirmed these details. Hence, these may change before launch and should be skimmed with a pinch of salt. For context, the latest iPhone SE launched in March 2022 and has been waiting for an upgrade.
